Cert III Individual support
This course will prepare you for work in a residential aged care facility and for the home care sector. A double specialisation is made up of units of study that target two related work settings. This course will prepare you for work in the community and/or residential setting, it is made of units of competency designed for work roles within an aged care facility or providing care to clients in their home. You will learn how to follow an individualised care plan to provide support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.
Disability services provide care and support to people with physical or intellectual disabilities, as well as their families and carers. Services are designed to improve the health, wellbeing and independence of people with a disability as well as help them develop life skills and participate in social activities.
Cert IV Training
The nationally accredited Certificate IV in Ageing Support will enable you make a difference in the lives of others and lead from the front as an aged care team leader. Gain a deep working knowledge of aged care, uncover your personal leadership style and get on-the-job experience in this high demand area.
This qualification will give you the skills and knowledge to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing. With industry moving to follow individualised plans to provide a person-centred approach, you will learn how to be a leader, facilitate the empowerment of older people, support independence and wellbeing and address the needs of people with chronic disease.
First Aids Certificate
Develop your basic first aid skills to learn how to respond in any emergency.
Training in first aid responses and life support‚ this course includes management of casualties, the incident and other first aiders and covers a range of situations, including in the home, workplace or within the community to manage a first aid emergency until medical assistance arrives.
